While James is a human, his mother known as Manami is a 9-tailed kitsune who is very loving and affectionate. She does her best to be kind towards others and ever since she gave birth to her son, she wants to make sure that she's a really good mother and that she would be so important to him enough to not want to leave her. Manami and James will both also be VERY important enough to be main characters of the Eastern Emblem generation too. As James will grow, Manami will always still be protective, doting, and caring towards her human son... By the way, since we all know that Eastern Emblem mostly involves Japanese folklore, I think that it would be surprising to you guys that some kitsunes DO have human children in some Japanese folklore.
